@ErrodeDescartes3 well both good and wrong. they bring tourism here but only pot is allowed. cocaine and heroine are forbidden but are still used. amsterdam isnt a really good model of holland cause it is showing a fake imagination of holland. try rotterdam and the rest of the country. that is really worthwile and totally different then amsterdam.
@shweetfilo it has its good sides, and its bad sides. (do not go into the canals cause it looks fine but its really nasty in there)

ErrodeDescartes3 , sorry to hear about your encounter. But obviously you have never been to Detroit. My wife and I have been going to Amsterdam for 20 yrs and neither her nor I would ever worry about walking the streets alone.
Why don’t you give it one more try. I think you’ll have a better time.
The 11th thing you should know about amsterdam is that the policemen doesn´t do it nothing about the drugaddicts. I couldn´t believed when they told that couldn´t do it nothing about them because they bring money for the city. Two drugaddicts spank me at street, as I noticed for the police report. Amsterdam is the damnest dangerous place in the world. Certainly never come back to this damned drugaddiction place!
