On 4/15/2010 I was accompanying a media outlet that is working on a special regarding human trafficking in Oklahoma. Our first stop was a notorious truck truck in Edmond, Oklahoma (far North OKC) along Interstate 35. This is some b-roll footage I took that will be utilized in the special report. My wife and I stopped at a Flying J truck stop the other night to grab a bite to eat and the restaurant had 2 hookers waiting inside the restaurant, they just sit around and wait for hours until they find a customer. As the wife of a trucker, it’s these women that make me worry. I have to worry that they’ll be willing to do things that I find sexually repulsive or it’s the whole concept of ’strange’ that might make my husband stray. I love my husband dearly, trust him implicitly, but these women cause me fear.

@SisterSunnshine I hate to say this, and I am NOT saying that all church people/preachers are like that – but I know a LOT of “good ole boy” preachers who would pick up a prostitute quicker than someone who doesn’t even go to church. @smurfsgot1 What I’m saying is that the legal age of sexual consent is 16 in Oklahoma. In states like California where the age is 18 it makes it easier for police to intervene.
