I know you have to be 18 or 21 to buy sex toys, but what if a parent got a vibrator for their daugher. Is that illegal?

Not illegal… strange that a mom would buy one for thier kid but not illegal since it’s considered masterbation and not sex and if masterbation in private was illegal to many people would be in jail…
Using it is perfectly legal.
Anywhere that I’m familiar with, it’s also legal for a minor to buy one… the illegality is for an adult to sell him/her one.
Also if, for example, you happen to know where your mom keeps hers, and borrow it while she’s out it’s legal. (Weird, but legal)

And in fact, masturbation is the safest sex one can engage in.
It is responsible to suggest ones offspring engage in this behavior in the privacy of their own homes, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.
Oh and BTW, there is no law that one must be of any certain age to buy a vibrator. There are laws against minors entering “sex shops” but vibrators are sold at Walmart and various drug stores and on the internet.
