Thispresentation includes video clips shot with a Traveler HD 10X Digital Video Camera and digital photos taken with a Traveler Slimline X5 digital camera. Saturday, 11 April, 2009: Here’s some more random video of the Red Light District, shot on the “morning after” a typical Friday night of fun and revelry. These scenes start out at what I consider to be the entrance to the Red Light District, on Warmoesstraat at Oudebrugsteeg and Lange Niezel. Out on Warmoesstraat, just a few steps away …
It’s a nice location but it definitely falls into the category of Tourist Trap. Thanks for your comment.
Stay clear of Baba coffeeshop, crappy weed and crappier music, rip off.
Please take a lot of pictures and video and post here. I want to see your experience. Thanks for viewing and for leaving comments. I appreciate it.
Yeah, it was across the way, and had a view over Damrak. I don’t think they remodeled it because the room list is the same, just minus that one. Great place, cant wait!!!
I’m not sure, but I bet it was remodeled and renamed, It’s probably still there, just under a different name. Was it over by the Hill Street Blues, across the street from the Bar and Hotel?
Yeah, it looked weird in the pics. As long as its en suite, im happy. Do you know what happened to the Canal View apartment??
That’s a one person room. I have stayed in that room before. The bathroom is interesting, the toilet is behind the shower so that you have to pull a curtain to keep from getting it wet. Back in the day, that room was actuall part of the hallway and the bathroom was available for the dorm room, which was remodeled and became theFluro Room with its own toilet.
This time the “Red Light” room. The first time I had stood in “Canal View” apt, which they do not have anymore.
Which room did you reserve at the GHE? Thank you for viewing and for your comments.
Great vid to gear me up!! Making a return in 3 weeks. Staying at GHE for 2nd time. Best spot in town!!
The mornings are different in the Red Light District and that Dutch only option sounds like bunk to me.
I remember the quiet mornings! So different from the noisy nights! hehe
Here’s hoping they don’t institute the “Dutch only” smoking option!
Thank you for viewing and for your comment. I am certain there are more bikes in Amsterdam than there are people.
That was nice. Looks like people just go along at a slow pace enjoying the day. Loved all the bikes…
Doing well as usual and I hope the same for you. Thank you for viewing and for your comment. It was a beautiful morning.
Nice…One LOVE! Hope your good!
When are you planning to be there? I hope to return in 2010 also. Thanks for viewing and for your comment.

It was before 9am. I had not had breakfast at the Hotel yet and they start serving at 9am. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for leaving a comment.
Loved it! Enjoyed seeing all the shops and loved the set up of your video editing like the end over the sign of the place. Well done! What time of day was it there? seemed really early.
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for viewing and for your comments. I appreciate your support.
Yes, I believe that the boats are privately owned, some people live on boats in the canals. The graffiti in Netherlands is amazing. It’s everywhere and some of it is quite artistic.. Thanks for viewing and for making me see stars.
i felt the video just like i was recording with my videocamera, gaved me some high feeling,,, put mode videos like this. thanks
Wow, even in the Netherlands.. Some people feel the need to tag an otherwise picturesque area. Really like that canal with the (privately owned?) boats!
