I know a big attraction about the city is the fact that weed is legal, but if you already smoke weed at your own home, is it really that much worth it just to smoke it legally in Amsterdam? I’m not dissing, I just want to know. Also, I’ve heard about the whole red light district and the legal prostitution, for those who have experienced it, what was it like?

Spring or the Summer time? What are the cheapest (maybe smoker friendly) hotels/hostels near the red light district? Thanks in advance. Ps. We are planning on staying for a week, but depending on the prices, maybe longer.
