The Foreigner Woman in Bible versus Quran (2)

This is the second article in the series of “The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”. Few quotes from the first article of this series are given here.

In language, the foreigner woman or the stranger woman is the alien woman or the exotic woman or the outsider woman. However, as determined by the Bible (e.g. 1 Kings 11:1 and Ezra 10:2), the foreigner woman or the stranger woman is the non-Israelite woman.

1 Kings 11:1 (American Standard Version and King James Version)

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women (strange women), together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;

Ezra 10:2

…foreign women of the peoples of the land… (American Standard Version)

…strange wives of the people of the land… (King James Version)

Subsequently, any non-Israelite woman is foreigner or stranger women.

This indicates that the women in the Bible are but one of two categories; they are either Legitimate or Foreigner.

According to the inspired word of God (Proverbs 23:27-28 and 5:3-6), the Bible says that the prostitute is a deep pit; the foreign woman is a narrow pit. She lies in wait like a robber and increases the unfaithful among mankind. For the lips of the foreign woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps follow the path to hell; she does not ponder the path of life; her paths are crooked, and she does not know.

These Biblical verses morally insult and put down all the non-Israelite women, the Foreigner ones.

Does this mean that the Lord God authorizes racial discrimination among the women on the earth?

In the entire Quran, there is No foreigner woman or the stranger woman.

Also, there is No foreigner man or stranger man

The Quran (Verse 40:39-40) says:

Truly this ephemeral life of the world is only an enjoyment, containing comforts which will eventually disappear; it does not last, whereas the Hereafter truly is the everlasting abode which will never perish; it is Eternal.

Whoever commits an evil deed shall not be requited except with the like of it; he will be repaid the like thereof. Whoever acts righteously, whether male or female, and is a believer, sincere in his faith, such shall be admitted into Paradise wherein they will be provided without any reckoning, an abundant provision, [given to them] unconditionally; there, they will be nourished without stint, without measure or limit.

Herein, the Quran does not determine the race, the color and/or the location, etc. of such male or such female. Unlike the Bible, the Quran does show any racial interest.

According to the Islamic teachings (Quran and Hadith), all human beings are created by Allah; and the best of them is the one (he or she) who believe in His Creator and obey His Law regardless of his or her race, color, location etc.

==================================

The Bible

A. Proverbs 23:27-28 (American Standard Version)

27 For a harlot is a deep ditch; And a foreign woman is a narrow pit.

28 Yea, she lieth in wait as a robber, And increaseth the treacherous among men.

B. Proverbs 5:3-6 (American Standard Version)

3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol (grave or hell);

6 So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, and she knoweth it not.

==================================

The Quran

Verse 40:39-40 (Qarib Translation)

(39) The life of this world is nothing but an enjoyment, but surely, the life of the everlasting life is the stable abode.

(40) those who do an evil deed shall only be rewarded with its like, but those who believe and do good works, either men and women, shall enter the gardens of paradise and are provided for without reckoning.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:

Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?

The Foreigner Woman in Bible versus Quran (2)

This is the second article in the series of “The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”. Few quotes from the first article of this series are given here.

In language, the foreigner woman or the stranger woman is the alien woman or the exotic woman or the outsider woman. However, as determined by the Bible (e.g. 1 Kings 11:1 and Ezra 10:2), the foreigner woman or the stranger woman is the non-Israelite woman.

1 Kings 11:1 (American Standard Version and King James Version)

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women (strange women), together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;

In Bible versus Quran: O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen (2)

This is the second article in the series: O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen in the Bible versus the Quran (2).

The Bible says: Hear, O peoples, all of you, all of them! Listen, O earth:

All this is because the transgression of Jacob and because of the sins of the house of Israel. But what are all this? God is coming out of his place; He will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth and the mountains will melt under the LORD God Love. Then God Love will make Samaria a heap of ruins and will pour her stones down into the valley and will lay bare her foundations. Samaria’s idols will be smashed, all of her earnings will be burned with fire and all of her images I will make desolate, for she collected them from a harlot’s earnings, And to the earnings of a harlot they will return.

Nevertheless, the Lord God said: What the high places of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem? According to the available Biblical maps; NO, Judah’s high place is Not Jerusalem. This is a very important issue that needs to be studied very carefully. It is one of two possibilities; either God has no idea about the geographical location of Judah’s high place or those who drew the Biblical maps forged them.

In addition, God Love said that He is coming out of his place; He will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth and the mountains will melt under Him because of the sins of the house of Israel.

In the Quran, there is a lot of sins committed by the children of Israel but

All of their sins did not need all of these procedures from Allah.

Moreover, what is the big deal for all of these stuffs that made the Lord God to come down etc. and to address his word to all the earth?

Most of the human beings have no idea about Samaria or Judea and hence they are not interested to their outcome.

On the other hand, Allah addresses the following message to mankind.

Allah says:

O people! Remember Allah’s grace towards you. Is there any god, other than Allah who provides you from the sky and from the earth? There is no God save Him.

So how then do you deviate?

And if they deny you, O Muhammad, verily other messengers before you were denied, so be steadfast; and to Allah all matters are returned, in the Hereafter, when He will requite the deniers and grant victory to the messengers.

O mankind! Indeed Allah’s promise, of resurrection is true. So do not let the life of this world deceive you, and do not let Satan, deceive you concerning Allah

Truly Satan is an enemy to you. So treat him as an enemy, by being obedient to Allah and do not obey him. His followers will be the inhabitants of the hell, the fierce Fire.

Micah 1:5-7

New International Version

5 All this is because of Jacob’s transgression, because of the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob’s transgression? Is it not Samaria? What is Judah’s high place? Is it not Jerusalem?

6 “Therefore I will make Samaria a heap of rubble, a place for planting vineyards. I will pour her stones into the valley and lay bare her foundations.

7 All her idols will be broken to pieces; all her temple gifts will be burned with fire; I will destroy all her images. Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes, as the wages of prostitutes they will again be used.”

5All this is for the rebellion of Jacob

What is the rebellion of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? What is the high place of Judah?

English Standard Version

5All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

King James Version

5For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

Verses 35:3-6 give the message of Allah to mankind.

The meaning of these verses:

Verse 35:3

O people! Remember Allah’s grace towards you, in the form of rain, provision and well-being! Is there any creator, any god, other than Allah who provides you from the sky, rain, and from the earth, vegetation? There is no God save Him who provides you. Whither then are you turned, from whence do you lie and claim that your deities provide for you?

So how then do you deviate? How are you turned away from affirming His Oneness when you already affirm that He is the Creator and the Provider?

Verse 35:4

And if they deny you, O Muhammad, with regard to your coming with the message of Allah’s Oneness, resurrection, reckoning and punishment, verily other messengers before you were denied, in this respect, so be steadfast as they were steadfast; and to Allah all matters are returned, in the Hereafter, when He will requite the deniers and grant victory to the messengers.

Verse 35:6

Verse 35:4

QARIB: if they belie you, other messengers have been belied before you. to Allah all matters are returned.

================================

O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen in the Bible (2)

New American Standard Bible

5All this is for the rebellion of Jacob

What is the rebellion of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? What is the high place of Judah?

6For I will make Samaria a heap of ruins in the open country, Planting places for a vineyard I will pour her stones down into the valley And will lay bare her foundations.

7All of her idols will be smashed, All of her earnings will be burned with fire And all of her images I will make desolate, For she collected them from a harlot’s earnings, And to the earnings of a harlot they will return.

English Standard Version

5All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?

6Therefore I will make Samaria a heap in the open country, a place for planting vineyards, and I will pour down her stones into the valley and uncover her foundations.

7All her carved images shall be beaten to pieces, all her wages shall be burned with fire, and all her idols I will lay waste, for from the fee of a prostitute she gathered them, and to the fee of a prostitute they shall return.

King James Version

5For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

6Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

7And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

——————————————————————————————–

O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen in the Quran (2)

Verse 35:5

O mankind! Indeed Allah’s promise, of resurrection and of other issues mentioned in the Quran, is true. So do not let the life of this world deceive you, from believing in all of that, and do not let the Deceiver, Satan, deceive you concerning Allah, on account of His forbearance and respiting of sinners in this life.

Verse 35:6

Truly Satan is an enemy to you. So treat him as an enemy, by being obedient to Allah and do not obey him; he only summons his faction, his followers in disbelief, so that they may be among the inhabitants of the hell, the fierce Fire.

——————————————————————————————–

Verses 35:3-6 in four different translations:

Verse 35:3

QARIB: people, remember the blessings of Allah to you. Except for Allah, is there any other creator who provides for you out of heaven and earth? There is no god except he. Where then do you turn?

SHAKIR: o men! call to mind the favor of Allah on you; is there any creator besides Allah who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? there is no god but he; whence are you then turned away?

PICKTHAL: o mankind! Remember Allah’s grace toward you! is there any creator other than Allah who provideth for you from the sky and the earth? there is no Allah save him. whither then are ye turned?

YUSUFALI: o men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? there is no god but he: how then are ye deluded away from the truth?

Verse 35:4

QARIB: if they belie you, other messengers have been belied before you. to Allah all matters are returned.

SHAKIR: and if they call you a liar, truly messengers before you were called liars, and to Allah are all affairs returned

PICKTHAL: and if they deny thee, (O Muhammad), messengers (of Allah) were denied before thee. unto Allah all things are brought back.

YUSUFALI: and if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah back for decision all affairs.

Verse 35:5

QARIB: people, the promise of Allah is true, so do not let this present life delude you, and do not let the deluder (Satan) deludes you about Allah.

SHAKIR: O men! Surely the promise of Allah is true, therefore let not the life of this world deceive you, and let not the archdeceiver deceive you respecting Allah

PICKTHAL: O mankind! Lo! The promise of Allah is true. so let not the life of the world beguile you, and let not the (avowed) beguiler beguile you with regard to Allah.

YUSUFALI: O men! Certainly the promise of Allah is true. let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver deceive you about Allah.

Verse 35:6

QARIB: Satan is indeed your enemy; therefore take him for an enemy. he calls his party so that they will become the companions of the blaze.

SHAKIR: surely the shaitan is your enemy, so take him for an enemy; he only invites his party that they may be inmates of the burning

PICKTHAL: lo! The devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming fire.

YUSUFALI: verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, which they may become companions of the blazing fire.
