why don’t Red Light District girls like having their pictures taken?

I was wondering why the prostitutes in the Red Light District don’t like it when people take their pictures? maybe a stupid question but im curious
I was wondering why the prostitutes in the Red Light District don’t like it when people take their pictures? (in Amsterdam prostitution is legal, even taxed by the gov.)
they do not want to be seen with you… simple…
thought prostitution was illegal. if it is, then they dont want to be seen prostituting themselves
Because being a prostitute is illegal, and they don’t want their pictures getting into the hands of the authorities who will then know what they look like and arrest them!!
What they are doing is against the law.
I think it would be because it would be easier for the cops to track them down and maybe see the area that they work in.
If you were a ‘red light man’ would you?
Do you want people coming to your job and taking pictures of you????? It’s demeaning to treat them like animals in a zoo.
I’ve always wondered the same thing. I’ll bet Miss Kitty and her Dodge City girls would happily pose for photos to inspire the cowboys to come into town more often. You’d think that a good looking prostitute could become such a celebrity in her city that she’d be more in demand and could raise her prices and get rich faster. Unless, of course, she was also in jail more. But at least she’d be a very colorful personality, and everyone would know her, and if she would just do a bit of charity work on the side, people might overlook her day job… oops, I mean her night job. Or whatever kind of job she does.
